Bio:

Samantha Schneider is an artist from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Currently living and working in Cleveland, Ohio. Her work revolves around using visual structures found within cinema and cinematography. Schneider captures the magic of movies through intense lighting, color pairings and background scenes. Many of her paintings are created on a large scale, some measuring up to 10ft. The use of these grand scales help further push the theater experience. Her art is heavily narrative based with many of her works being inspired by sci-fi futures and cyberpunk worlds. Schneider is currently enrolled at The Cleveland Institute of Art majoring in painting and drawing, and will receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2021. Her work has been shown in multiple group exhibitions around Cleveland, as well as two solo shows in Mansfield, Ohio. Schneider was awarded a certificate for excellence in studio practice through The Cleveland Institute of Art and has maintained that status. She is currently working with Mankind Murals Inc. creating commissioned wall murals.
