BIO:
Mae Wilson (b.1991) is a cartoonist, illustrator, and storyteller from San Luis Obispo, CA. Much of her work deals with desire, the thin line between comedy and horror, and our relationship with the things we hide from ourselves. Mae is the author of 'Dice Onaga, Pizza Delivery Girl' 'The Hacker Witches', and 'That Infernal Comedy.' Mae graduated from The University of California, Santa Cruz in 2014. While working in museum interpretation, she became interested in the art of oral storytelling and the ways that ideas are expanded, compressed and shaped for a particular audience. In 2019, she was awarded a block grant from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She expects to receive her MFA in 2021. Wilson currently lives in Madison, where sheteaches Drawing Methods and Concepts at the University's Art Department.
