Bio:

Robyn Banks was born in Manchester, UK and discovered her love of photography at 6th form college, leading her to pursue a photography degree at Falmouth University. It was during her three years at university that she discovered the freedom of creativity, experimentation with mixed media and a love of moving imagery. Banks’ style goes beyond the traditional and challenges the norm whilst maintaining the subtlety of childhood innocence. 

Graduating with a first class (Hons) BA Photography Degree, Banks has collaborated with many other artists to produce exhibitions and further explore her unique form of storytelling through art. 

Artist Statement:

Robyn Banks is a British artist who produces colourful, nostalgic photographs alongside comedic and bizarre moving imagery. Her staged work depicts an imaginative exploration of childhood and the innards of Bank’s imagination through handmade props and upcycled costumes, questioning the confines of self and characterisation.
