BIO:

Taj Matumbi Born and raised in Northern California, received a BFA in painting and ceramics at MIU in 2018. Since being an MFA 2-D/Painting candidate at UW- Madison Taj has had the opportunity to commission a mural in the summer of 2020 for the city of Madison during the wake of the protests in response to George Floyds Murder. Taj has also recently had the honor of being invited to collaborate with Tandem Press to create a limited-edition print of his work. Post graduating this spring Taj plans to stay in the Midwest area and continue to grow his art community and his practice in the Midwest.
